MVK 3, Holte 1
Well it wasn't pretty. We played well for the most part except for the major dropoff in the set we lost. I have to give them credit for that set though, they dug more balls than us and swung hard on everset no matter where it was. Not much else to say about this match, the capacity crowd of 5 people didn't exactly make for an exciting atmosphere. The thing that sticks out the most about this match for me was the fact that we had to use molten balls. What the hell is the deal with that?? I thought that was rediculous. The league needs to use the same ball everywhere. I thought that was a pretty basic rule. Maybe i'm way off here, but that doesn't sound right to me.
On another note, did anyone else stay up for the superbowl?? Its just not the same with danish commentary! Play of the game was definitly #95 on seattle pulling a hammy trying to sprint the length of the field.

Our sponsor (Virklund) has supplied us with Molten balls, therefore we use them. If I were to choose, I would want to use Molten anyway. The surface is far better than anything Mikasa has ever made (I know there are other brands, but these are the ones used in Denmark). It takes a lot to make it slippery, but it is far from the inflated doormats Mikasa released a couple of years ago.
At the moment, two different types of Mikasa balls are being used in the danish league. One of them is closer to Molten balls, than it is to the other Mikasa. Now that is ridiculous!
Still, I think it would be nice to have a rule about which ball to use, but it could require some company to sponsor the game balls for all the clubs.
I don't mind if its molten or mikasa as long as its the same ball all the time.
Is it true that middelfart is getting a new foreign player ?
I´d like to hear your comment on that..?
/Soeren
yes it is definitly true. We have a new foreign player. His name is josh and he's actually sleeping on our couch at the moment. he is from the U S of A, played at Ball State back home and did a season in Indonesia. When I first heard we were getting a new player I didn't really understand the point but after some thought I think its a good idea. I think management decided to pick him up because of all our injuries. We have had some trouble finding enough healthy players to practice. Not only injuries have been a factor though, we've got Tobias in the millitary and guys with school and work needing miss practice. He seems like a pretty sweet guy and I think he will be a solid edition to our team. He is already playing well at practice which raises everyone elses level too.
Touche on the pulled hammy comment!
